Antenatal care

  • Pregnancy appointments are held at a convenient time for you in the comfort of your home.
  • Clinical care is monitoring you and your baby’s growth and wellbeing, sharing clinical information and discussing test results.
  • Referral for pathology tests and ultrasounds as you choose.
  • Pregnancy appointments are monthly, and more frequent as your pregnancy progresses.
  • Time is spent getting to know each other, to form a relationship and build a partnership.
  • An important part of your care is the information sharing, and discussing your labour and birth care needs, expectations and aspirations.
  •  I will support you to discuss any fears and anxieties as you plan your baby’s birth.
  • Time is spent planning for postnatal care and support.
  • Your partner, children, and birth support are encouraged to be involved in all pregnancy care.
  • If you need referral to specialist care throughout pregnancy I will facilitate this in partnership with you.
  • You will have opportunities to meet the second midwives throughout your pregnancy.
  • Regular gatherings to meet other women, and share experiences, knowledge and wisdom is an integral part of my care.
  • I will support you to discuss any fears and anxieties as you plan your baby’s birth.
  • Time is spent planning for postnatal care and support.
  • Your partner, children, and birth support are encouraged to be involved in all pregnancy care.
  • If you need referral to specialist care throughout pregnancy I will facilitate this in partnership with you.
  • You will have opportunities to meet the second midwives throughout your pregnancy.
  • Some of your pregnancy care is eligible for Medicare rebates.
