Midwife Sal has been working professionally with women and families for 25 years, in midwifery continuity of care models in Australia and New Zealand. Being able to provide one on one midwifery care in partnership with women throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period is a significant part of her work. It brings Sal great professional satisfaction and personal joy. I love my job!
Midwife Sal has been living in the Sunshine Coast since 2017 supporting growing families, and advocating for respectful maternity care wherever a woman choses to birth. I work with other registered, endorsed midwives, and doulas in both the home and local public and private Sunshine Coast hospitals. I believe in every woman’s right and responsibility to make their own decisions regarding where and with whom they birth. Every pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a transformative experience and every woman, baby and family teach me their unique and individual way of preparing for and experiencing this incredibly life changing event.
